The INITIALS project aims to help visually impaired people sending and receiving SMS messages. It shows the incoming / outgoing messages on the TV screen with large letters.
Its main components are:
* an EvoPrimer with a Bluetooth module, USB keyboard connector and OSD circuit.
* a keyboard.
* a cable connection to the TV set.
* a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone.
The keyboard will be used to navigate among the SMS messages, read them and send new messages. The messages will appear on the TV screen as overlay. The modified EvoPrimer will control the automatic notification about incoming messages, on-off status of the overlay, communication with the user's Bluetooth enabled mobile phone, a TV set and a normal PC keyboard. |
The author of this project participate to the Contest 2011, so the description and sources will be available at the end of the contest.
