Primer 2 hardware

Hi all,

Would it be possible to replace the Primer 2 microcontroller by another one?
Can I still use the debugger or is it linked the specific microcontroller used on my board?

Kind regards,

Niko

Re: Primer 2 hardware

The Primer2 embeds a standard RLink (http://www.mcu-raisonance.com/index.php … k-standard). It seems difficult to use it without the MCU of the board..

Re: Primer 2 hardware

So, if I replace the current STM32F103 by lets say the new planned STM32F105 or STM32F107 then I can still use my Primer 2 as debug interface?

I ask this because I want to use the CAN-bus and the USB at the same time.
This is NOT possible with the STM32F103, with the STM32F107 it is possible to use CAN and USB at the same time.

Re: Primer 2 hardware

I am very surprized, but I am realizing that they are pin tio pin compatible... Therefore, it should work. However, if you want to use CircleOS, you will have to adapt the LD file (the map will be different because the new devices have less memory).  Good idea!
