Re: Free RTOS

There is now a FreeRTOS.org demo for the Primer.  Check out the 'projects' section of this site.

Richard.

Re: Free RTOS

The complete demo contains code for some 20+ demo tasks, and includes a 16bit colour bitmap.  It therefore takes up most of the flash available (mainly due to the bitmap).

The FreeRTOS.org kernel size itself is configurable.  In the configuration used for the demo the kernel takes 4.5KBytes at -O1 optimisation, and 4KBytes at -Os optimisation.

Richard.

Re: Free RTOS

A buddy of mine and myself, picked up a couple of Primer 2 devices to use for an autonomous robot.  Has anyone had any success converting the Primer 1 FreeRTOS demo to the Primer 2?  If so, what are the necessary changes needed to get it to run on the primer 2?

I'm going to pick my Primer 2 up tomorrow, so I am just trying to get some information in advance and possibly start coding those changes now.

In the meantime I guess I can always use the Primer 1 I have to give FreeRTOS a go.

Clark
