The Project -Call the Doctor- aims to supervise elderly people remotely. The project's main components are: *EvoPrimer with a Bluetooth extension,*SD Card with recorded vocal instructions, *Bluetooth enabled mobile phone. The EvoPrimer is attached with straps to the user and would detect falls, hits or lack of regular movements with its MEMS sensor. FUNCTION #1: If an accident is detected, then the device instructs the user to press the button for acknowledging the incident. If the button is not pressed, the Evoprimer initiates a phone call and plays an optional previously recorded message. Then it switches to speakerphone mode. FUNCTION #2: The button functions as a panic button. If there is no accident detected by the MEMS sensor, the user can press the button, and the device dials a predefined telephone number. After the button press, the device informs the user about the panic telephone call. If he/she doesn't cancel the action by pressing the button once again, then the call is initiated, and an optional prerecorded message is played. After this the device switches to speakerphone mode.
